The actress was quizzed by The Insider at the Liz & Dick premiere if she is ready for romance, but answered that she is more focused on her career at this point.
"I'm not focused on that yet," Lohan commented. "I want to do a ton of movies first. After I win an Oscar, I can start thinking about love."
She went to admit that she does have desires beyond acting, especially becoming a mother.
"I want to adopt a son. I don't want to deal with a mini-me," Lohan joked in reference to having a daughter.
The star added of her time in the limelight: "Since I was a kid, I've loved being on camera. Don't misconstrue that - I didn't strive to have flashbulbs at dinner or people who don't know me calling TMZ. And 99% of the time, it's not true. I feel bullied.
"I can't think of any actor who has been subjected to such extreme publicity who hasn't, like, committed suicide."
The actress's media blitz included an appearance on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, where she explained why she cancelled a scheduled 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters.
"You know, it's just the timing wasn't right," Lohan explained. "I love her."
Liz & Dick airs Sunday, November 25 at 9/8c on Lifetime in the US.
