Kerry Katona has revealed to Digital Spy that her ex-husband Brian McFadden has abandoned their children.
The 32-year-old - who sparkled in a black all-in-one suit ("Can you believe it's a size 8?!" she squealed) at her book launch today - told us about her and the kids' relationship with the former Westlife star.
She said: "Brian lives in Australia. They see him about twice a year. I think it's quite shocking. As far as I'm aware, they don't even speak every week."
When asked if she thought he had abandoned his kids, she said: "Yeah, I'm not here to slag Brian off, I'm just stating facts.
"I never had a dad myself and I think any kind of man who moves to the other side of the world and leaves their children is terrible - I don't think it's acceptable.
"What annoyed me most about that whole situation, when I was at my lowest ebb, rather than Brian coming and helping with the children, he went on national television to slag me off as a parent.
"It's like, hang on a minute, I'm bringing up these kids on my own. I'm not getting financial help or anything - give me a break."
Katona admitted that when it comes to McFadden helping out with the kids financially, they're finally "getting there".
It's clear that the single mum-of-four - who has two girls, Mollie, 11 and Lily-Sue, 9, with Brian - wants her children and their dad reunited.
"I don't know Brian anymore. I'd give anything to ring him up and asking him to come to parents' evening or something, just for the kids.
"Or saying to him and his missus, 'They've got a play - do you want to come and watch?'"
At one point, it seemed that McFadden was keen to make contact with Katona and the kids - but he then met his new wife Vogue Williams.
"I knew it would never happen but I thought it was a work in progress. I don't want people to get the wrong impression and think I was hoping we would get back together - but it was a massive step for me and the kids.
"They've seen me and their dad in the same room I think once since we split which is really, really sad.
"I've got no animosity towards Brian, i just hate the fact he's abandoned his kids. Unfortunately that relationship doesn't exist."
On her ex Mark Croft - and father of her two other kids Max, 4, and Heidi, 5 - she added: "We haven't heard from Mark since February 19 this year. I think he sent his son a text on his birthday.
"It isn't a good thing for the kids. It's really sad how dreadful he's been."
