The Real World: San Francisco's David 'Puck' Rainey is reportedly in jail for an alleged stalking offence.

The MTV reality star was sentenced to two years behind bars for pleading no contest to harassing an unnamed woman this past February, according TMZ.

Rainey's harsh sentence would suggest that he had violated a separate probation order, but the facts are not clear at this time.

He apparently surrendered to authorities on November and is expected to remain to jailed for 300 days due to receiving credit for time previously served.

Rainey was one of the most controversial stars in the history of The Real World franchise due to his brash attitude and allegedly antagonistic behaviour towards HIV-positive co-star Pedro Zamora.

He later guest starred in Road Rules: All-Stars and competed in MTV's Battle of the Sexes.

The star was previously arrested in 2010 for an apparently alcohol-related car accident.
