BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012: who should win? Vote in our poll

As expected, the 2012 BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist is dominated by London's Olympians and Paralympians.

Jessica Ennis is one of the front-runners, while Andy Murray and Bradley Wiggins can of course point at victories both in and outside the Games.

Last year's shortlist attracted much criticism for its lack of women. This year, Ennis is joined by fellow Olympic and Paralympic winners Nicola Adams, Katherine Grainger, Ellie Simmonds and Sarah Storey.

PGA champion golfer Rory McIlroy is the sole non-Olympic figure on the shortlist - and will that point of differentiation be enough to swing the panel his way?
