Naomi Campbell has begun a community service sentence cleaning at New York's Sanitation Department.
The supermodel is completing five days work there after admitting throwing a mobile phone at a maid.
She has been arriving with something of the style she is used to, in a chauffeur driven car, with a police guard, and dressed in high fashion.
However, Campbell has soon had to don a white mask, workboots and a bright orange reflective vest, and get down to work alongside other offenders.
Matthew LiPani, from the department, which house's the state's rubbish trucks, told the Daily Mail there were plenty of jobs for her to help out with.
"There's a variety of things for her to do: toilets, mopping, sweeping floors, cleaning offices," he said. "We do have plenty of work for her to do over the next five days."
