Spears facing bankruptcy, says report

Britney Spears fears bankruptcy after spending much of her £16.5 million wealth, a report has claimed.

According to the Daily Star, the singer has spent £11 million and now faces losing more in a divorce battle with rapper Kevin Federline.

It says her earnings have been dwindling in recent years and she is scared of facing her financial situation when she comes out of rehab following a suspected breakdown.

“She’s scared to death of what’s facing her when she gets out of rehab," explained a source. “She has to concentrate on staying sober, but she can’t do that if she has to worry about going broke – which is exactly what she thinks will happen.”

The paper also quotes music producer Timbaland, who has worked with Spears's ex-partner Justin Timberlake, as offering to help the singer revive her career.
