The former Girls of the Playboy Mansion star - who is currently expecting her first child with Pasquale Rotella - suggested that she does not want her child to pursue a similar career to her.
"I don't think people are treated with respect in that environment," Madison told In Touch Weekly.
"I'm from a small town, and you grow up seeing people like Jenny McCarthy or Pamela Anderson, who made it big after doing Playboy. You think it's this glamorous thing until you realise how much you're judged for it."
Madison explained that she would support her daughter in everything but added: "I think she can do better."
Madison was recently hospitalised after suffering from morning sickness but has since confirmed that everything is "okay".
Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has offered her his best wishes, writing on Twitter that he hopes she is feeling better.
