Sir Elton John hosts 60th birthday gig
Sir Elton John has played to more than 20,000 fans at New York City's Madison Square Gardens to celebrate his 60th birthday.

The concert marked the 'I'm Still Standing' singer's 60th appearance at the Manhattan venue.

Former US President Bill Clinton introduced the veteran pop star, saying: "Thank you for coming tonight to help celebrate Elton joining my favourite club, the 60-year-olds' club. I love it every time he plays. He reminds me we still have some youth left."

Other guests at the celebration included Elizabeth Hurley, Bette Middler, Pierce Brosnan and Ozzy Osbourne.

John's concert was broadcast live on the internet by MSN. It will be shown on ITV1 at 9pm on Thursday.
