Kristen Stewart: 'I'm sorry for angering people with scandal'

By
Kristen Stewart has openly addressed the public reaction to her cheating scandal earlier this year.

The Twilight actress came under fire after photos of her kissing Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders emerged in July.

Stewart shortly after released a brief statement admitting to the affair and apologising to boyfriend Robert Pattinson and describing the fling with Sanders as a "momentary indiscretion."

The 22-year-old has remained relatively quiet about the incident since then, but in a new interview with Newsweek, she acknowledged the criticism she received from the public.

"It's not a terrible thing if you're either loved or hated," Stewart is quoted as saying. "But honestly, I don't care, 'cause it doesn't keep me from doing my s**t.

"And I apologise to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention."

Stewart currently stars in the drama On the Road opposite Garret Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst.
