Amy Winehouse father Mitch unhappy with second inquest into death

By
Amy Winehouse's father has expressed anger at the second inquest into his daughter's death.

It was announced earlier this week that the inquest into the 'Back to Black' singer's 2011 death will be reheard in January, following the resignation of coroner Dr Andrew Reid and deputy coroner Suzanne Greenaway.

The original inquest came under scrutiny after it was revealed that Greenaway, who oversaw the investigation, was unqualified.

The late singer's father Mitch Winehouse has accused officials of making serious errors in their original investigation.

Speaking at a recent charity event, Mitch said: "There have been so many cock-ups. Firstly the coroner's report was sent to the wrong house up the road from Janis (the singer's mother)... and the bloke who received it tried to sell it.

"Then this cock-up with the chief coroner putting his wife in charge, though she wasn't qualified."

He added: "I'm not putting my family through it again. Right now I'd say I won't go. And the result will be just the same."
