The winner of 2005's American Idol contest bought the 2,956-square-foot house in Franklin, Tennessee to celebrate her triumph and recording contract.
However, the country music star and multi-millionaire has now taken the pad off the market after letting it go at a loss.
Underwood purchased the modest 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath property - featuring hardwood floors, a spacious kitchen, garage and fireplace - for $384,000 (£236,000) prior to selling over 15 million albums.
The music artist is married to professional hockey star Mike Fisher. The pair spent $3.2 million (£2m) on 400 acres of land to build their ideal abode in the city of Nashville back in 2011.
She is set to star in NBC's live production of The Sound of Music.
Underwood will play Maria Von Trapp in a three-hour televised staging of the musical.
