The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant openly talks about her own debt problems in a 30-second TV advertisement for CashLady, which launches across 26 channels today (January 8).
Her image also appears on the homepage of the brand's website.
"I've been through money troubles enough myself, so I know how difficult it can be when you need cash at the wrong time," Katona said.
"The reason I was happy to work with CashLady is that they're committed to being a responsible part of the payday loan industry.
"They're constantly doing their best to make sure that customers get as much information as possible, and were one of the first companies to put up clear responsible lending information including where customers can get free financial advice at times when they're struggling."

Short-term loan companies have been regularly criticised for imposing extortionate levels of interest, sometimes as much as 6,000%
CashLady offers loans of up to £300 with a representative APR (annual percentage rate) of 2,670%.
Katona claimed at one point in 2011 that she only had £400 left in her bank account. She is believed to have escaped bankruptcy with her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother later that year, for which she received a reported £350,000 fee.
