Manic Street Preachers star Nicky Wire has advised wannabe singers to rebel before they find fame.
The band's bassist explained that he had grown tired of acting "crazy" by the time he had finished university and was then able to start his music career without hitting the headlines for bad behaviour.
"I'm not rock 'n' roll at all now. I wear the outfits and do the world tours, go on MTV, but the strongest drug I've ever had is paracetamol," Nicky told WENN.
"I had all my crazy years when I was studying politics at university - that's when you should do it."
