Bradley Wiggins beats Brad Pitt, Harry Styles in men's hairstyle poll

By
Bradley Wiggins's hair has been voted more inspirational to British men than styles sported by the likes of Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper.

Professional hair brand Fudge revealed that Wiggins's sideburns and mod hairstyle are proving more popular than even One Direction heart throb Harry Styles's locks.

John Vial, creative Director of Fudge, said: "It's no surprise that Bradley's mod cut out-styled the likes of Harry Styles and Brad Pitt.

"The man of the moment's influence on the hair of the nation confirms that when a sportsman endorses something, it automatically makes it more masculine and, ultimately, desirable."

The research into British men's hair inspiration and idols saw David Beckham top the poll as the ultimate hair influence.

Famous for sporting a number of styles, Beckham has been seen in the past with a Mohawk, ponytail and even cornrows, and has already displayed a side parting this year.

The top 10 celebrity hair inspirations for British men are:

1. David Beckham
2. Gary Barlow
3. Robert Pattinson
4. Bradley Wiggins
5. Brad Pitt
6. Harry Styles
7. will.i.am
8. Snoop Dogg
9. Bradley Cooper

Fudge's statistics also show that on average a British man will change his hairstyle four times in his life, whilst Glaswegians will make five changes and Belfast boys make only two changes.

Glaswegian men beat the national average of 24 minutes for the time spent perfecting their hair for a night out by spending up to half an hour doing so, 10% of men admit to using their partner's hairdryers or straighteners to create their desired look, and British men's most regretted hairstyle is the skinhead.
