Bradley Cooper: 'Mum will be my date to Oscars'

Bradley Cooper has revealed that his mum will be his date to next month's Oscars.

He had previously agreed to take his mother as his date should he ever be nominated, Cooper told E! News.

"One night, when I started the profession, [mum said] 'If you ever [get nominated] I am the date'," the Hangover star admitted.

Cooper is nominated in the 'Best Actor' category for his role in Silver Linings Playbook. The film has received eight Academy Award nominations.

Speaking of his mother's reaction to his nomination, Cooper admitted: "She was freaking out."

The actor has reportedly split from on-off girlfriend Zoe Saldana once again and has been romantically linked to co-star Jennifer Lawrence and newly-single Britney Spears since the separation.
