Anna Nicole paternity battle is settled

Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead has been named as the father of the tragic model's baby daughter.

DNA test results released by a court in the Bahamas confirm that the 34-year-old photographer is the father of eight-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

The late Playboy model's lawyer-turned partner Howard K Stern was named as the baby's father on her birth certificate. Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Prince Frederick von Anhalt had also claimed parentage.

Birkhead said: "I hate to be the one to tell you this but, I told you so. Nothing's really determined except parentage and I'm the father."

Anna Nicole Smith, whose real name was Vickie Lynn Marshall, died of an accidental drugs overdose after collapsing at a Florida hotel on February 8. She was 39.
