Ryan Gosling was considered for Backstreet Boys, says AJ McLean

Ryan Gosling was once considered for a spot in the Backstreet Boys, according to AJ McLean.

The Drive actor missed out on the chance, which McLean told TMZ he regrets.



McLean admitted that Gosling, who was his childhood neighbour, believed that the Backstreet Boys would not be successful. When the group began to top the charts, Gosling reached out to McLean, but didn't hear back.

McLean said: "Ryan, I am so sorry that I didn't call you back... If we ever want a sixth Backstreet Boy member, I'm gonna call you. You can sing.
