The Saturdays talk 'being lesbian' for first US magazine cover: Pictures

The Saturdays admitted that they "perv on girls" as they took part their first US magazine cover shoot.

The 'What About Us' band explained to Glamoholic that they are not "full-on lesbian", but would rather have screen sirens like Blake Lively or Eva Mendes over Ryan Gosling.

Rochelle Humes said: "Not like in a full-on lesbian way, but I'm more of a girl person than I am a guy person; we all are."

"And we perv on girls," bandmate Frankie Sandford added, to which Humes agreed: "Sorry, we are very open about that. Yeah, we perv on girls."

The Saturdays also said they hope to be the biggest British girlband in America since the Spice Girls, and resurrect the message of 'girl power'.

"Since the Spice Girls there hasn't been a British girlband to make it in the US," Mollie King said. "it would be nice for us to bring a little girl power into the scene."

On their upcoming E! reality show Chasing The Saturdays, the band commented: "There's going to be tears and tantrums.

"Everyday life, love life, personal struggles, it's just us really; a very honest example of how we live."

However, Sandford admitted that she wasn't sure if the girls would want to return for a second season.

"You never know, we will see how it goes... We may watch it back and be like, 'Nooo'," she reasoned.

Chasing The Saturdays is set to air in the US on January 20 and arrives in the UK on February 3.

An album of the same name will be released in America on January 29.
