Reality stars Chanelle Hayes and Nicola McLean mocked Kimberley Walsh's performance at the National Television Awards last night (January 23).

Girls Aloud singer and former Strictly star Walsh sang a rendition of Randy Crawford's classic 'One Day I'll Fly Away' at the event.

After the show, she tweeted: "Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!! So happy that Strictly Come Dancing won the NTA! Such an amazing show to be a part of! #NTAs Xxx."

However, Walsh was criticised over her vocal performance by Hayes, McLean and other users on Twitter.

McLean tweeted: "Omg I'm a fan of Kimberly but she sounds like a dying cat #NTAs"

Hayes agreed: "omg I was just thinking the same.... #awkward".

Former Celebrity Big Brother model Jasmine Lennard wrote: "I'm thinking Kimberley Walsh's management team have their head in their hands right now. Talk about MURDERING A SONG. That was NOT a good idea."

There was a lot of praise for X Factor star Ella Henderson, who belted out a version of Cher's 'Believe'.
