Evan Rachel Wood on pregnancy: "I'm very excited"

Evan Rachel Wood has said that she is "very excited" to welcome her and husband Jamie Bell's first child.

The actress - who announced her pregnancy two weeks ago - told Access Hollywood that she has wanted to become a mother for many years.

"I'm over the moon," Wood beamed. "Motherhood is my dream and my husband is always the one I wanted to do it with."

She added: "I'm very happy!"

Bell and Wood began dating after starring together in Green Day's 2005 music video 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'.

They later split in 2006, only to reunite several years later after Wood had broken up with her other long-time love Marilyn Manson.

Wood married Bell in a secret California ceremony last autumn.
