Lopez hired by Russian billionaire

Jennifer Lopez has been hired for a private performance by a Russian billionaire, who is paying £1 million for the privilege.

Andrei Melnichenko is paying for the Latino artist to sing for his wife at her birthday celebration in Berkshire.

After being flown over from the States, Lopez and her entourage are to be accommodated in a number of London hotels for her set that is to last just 40 minutes.

A source told the Daily Mail regarding the party, "It will be wall-to-wall billionaires in there.

"Andrei and Aleksandra (his wife) are both very great fans of J-Lo so Andrei put the call in and personally put the offer to her. She accepted immediately.

"She will sing for about 40 minutes - not bad money for the work."
