Stewart says Brand deserved ear-bashing

Kimberly Stewart has admitted that she was grateful for father Rod sticking up for her at the GQ Awards last year.
Rocker Rod lost his temper with comedian Russell Brand at the ceremony after he bragged about "having a go on" Kimberly. Infuriated, Rod warned: "You mustn't come up here and boast. I speak here as a father."
"Russell Brand made some comment about me and my dad gave him a b*****king. He deserved it. Rod's a gentleman," Kimberly explained during an interview on The Dame Edna Treatment.
However, Kimberly was less impressed when Rod claimed that she had been treated for liver damage due to excess alcohol consumption.
She insisted: "As a parent sometimes you speak and don’t think about your kids and he said something about my liver. There's nothing wrong with my liver."
The Dame Edna Treatment airs at 10pm tonight on ITV1.
