The singer, who reunited with her Destiny's Child bandmates last night (February 3), has been accused of using a louder mic than Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
Fans took to Twitter to criticise the show-stopping medley, claiming Beyoncé's bandmates couldn't be heard in comparison.
While some said Michelle Williams's microphone was malfunctioning during the set, CBS News wrote: "Rowland and Williams were barely heard when the group sang Independent Woman, as their voices faded into the background."
American R&B singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole said: "I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always f**ks the groove up."
Alicia Keys stuck up for them and posted: "Beautiful note from @beyonce!! Big Love 2 @KELLYROWLAND & @realmichelleW 1 of my Favourite parts of the show!!! Still on 10!! #SB47 ;-)."
Referring to the power cut, E! commentator Marc Malkin added: "I think Michelle and Kelly r pissed their audio was so low that they cut the wires on their way out."
Ignoring any negativity, Michelle later tweeted: "Had a great time w/my sisters tonight!! Tried to keep it a surprise!! Love you all...God bless!!"
Meanwhile, a proud and 'honoured' Beyoncé shared a selection of backstage photos of herself on her Instagram page.
