Mills backs Baldwin over message

Alec Baldwin should be forgiven for apparently calling his daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig", Heather Mills has told a radio station.

A tape of an answerphone message the actor left for his 11-year-old daughter Ireland, who lives with his estranged wife Kim Basinger, was leaked earlier this week.

It has prompted criticism in the USA but Mills, who is in the process of a divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney, defended him.

She commented: "You've got a man who's madly in love with his daughter who lives on the other side of the coast, who doesn't get to see her very much.

"It's wrong to speak to your daughter like that. I would never talk to my daughter like that, but his daughter lives with Kim and we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

"People lose it, forgive him," added Mills. "Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house - we are not here to judge and criticise what other people do."
