Chris Brown alleged to have violated probation

By
Chris Brown has reportedly been accused of violating the terms of his parole by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.

The controversy stems from the 'Forever' singer being sentenced to complete 180 hours of community service for physically attacking on-off girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Brown submitted paperwork that he completed 202 hours of service, including many hours at Richmond, Virginia's Tappahannock Children's Centre, but that claim is now being called into question.

LA's District Attorney launched an investigation into the matter, with TMZ reporting that the inquiry found Brown's mother once worked as the director of the Tappahannock Children's Centre and that the singer often performed menial work such as washing windows and cutting grass.

The community service form submitted in Los Angeles was actually signed by Richmond's chief of police, although an insider says some of the dates conflict with days in which he was on tour across the world.

The LA District Attorney has apparently filed paperwork requesting that a portion of Brown's community service dates at the Tappahannock Children's Centre be thrown out as a result of "at best sloppy ... and at worst fraudulent reporting".

This move would require Brown to redo his community service hours in the Los Angeles area, where they could be more easily verified.

Brown has not yet commented on the matter on Twitter.

A separate investigation into Brown's alleged scuffle with Frank Ocean recently at an LA recording studio will likely not lead to a criminal battery charge against the singer, according a police statement released this week.
