The veteran actress, who debuted her new do on the red carpet, also sported an off-white floor-length gown complete with silver cape.
Other celebrities aiming to impress with their choice of attire included 'Leading Lady' nominee Anne Hathaway, who showed off a similarly-long black dress with gold-spotted bodice, and Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain, appearing in bright blue.
Sarah Jessica Parker chose a two-piece black trouser suit with velvet detailing, while Paloma Faith shone in a bejewelled Nicholas Oakwell gown.
The Master's Amy Adams also opted for black, wearing a lacy black number with a thigh-high slit at the front. She went on to tell the BBC on the red carpet that she "[couldn't] wait to get out of the rain and get to the party".
