Mick Jagger has abandoned his plans to write an autobiography because he found it "rather dull".

He admitted that the money offered to him was a very tempting draw for him to write about his own life, but he found the whole process very boring.

He told Gigwise, "I was offered a large sum of money, which I found tempting and I started to write.

"I was sitting round endlessly talking about the past, living in it. And I found it rather dull. I'd love to find another form to do it in. A book form, but not in the accepted showbiz memoir."
