Kris Humphries divorce lawyer 'quits over difference of opinion'

Kris Humphries's divorce lawyer Marshall Waller has reportedly quit due to a difference of opinion with the NBA star.

Waller has been representing Humphries in the athlete's pursuit of an annulment from Kim Kardashian, with whom he was married to for 72 days prior to their split.



The attorney has filed court documents in California court citing an "irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship" as his reason for quitting, according to TMZ.

One point of contention between the pair is the lawyer's apparent belief that Humphries has no legal grounds to pursue an annulment, rather than a divorce.

Humphries has accused Kardashian of committing a fraud by marrying him under false pretenses.



Waller's departure from the case means that Humphries will have to hire a new California lawyer to represent him in the divorce case.

Earlier in the week, Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian expressed hopes that the divorce will be settled soon so her sibling can "move on" with new boyfriend Kanye West.
