The Terminator 2 actor has been remanded following allegations that he violated a protective order barring him from being near his girlfriend, according to TMZ.

The site goes on to report that the judge in Furlong's case "angrily accused him of not taking the stay-away order seriously" during a hearing.

Furlong will apparently remain in custody until a formal probation violation hearing on March 4.

Furlong previously faced domestic violence charges in January, having been arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend and having an outstanding warrant for a prior domestic violence arrest.

He was also arrested and charged in 2011 for allegedly getting into a physical argument with his girlfriend at LAX airport.

Prior to that, in 2010, Furlong's estranged wife Rachael Bella filed a restraining order against him, claiming he had sent her a number of threatening emails.

The actor's career has stalled in recent years, and he claimed in 2011 that he was unable to meet his child support payments because he was "broke".
