Mary J Blige facing additional $900k tax lien

By
Mary J Blige currently faces a $900,000 tax lien, adding to ongoing financial problems stemming from 2011.

The 'No More Drama' singer has been grappling with numerous legal and financial issues, including claims of fraud against her women's scholarship fund and charity organisation.

Earlier this month, Blige was sued for defaulting on a $500,000 (£374,000) bank loan, adding to the $2.2 million in unpaid loans she was accused of in 2012.

According to TMZ, Blige now owes $901,769.65 (£580,999.36) in New Jersey taxes.

Blige has not commented on her current situation, though in May she blamed the state of her charity on staff, explaining: "The problem is that I didn't have the right people in the right places doing the right things."

The 42-year-old singer was most recently seen performing at a Rolling Stones Brooklyn concert.
