The Coronation Street actress - who began dating the former TOWIE star earlier this year - is said to have told friends that Wright's ex-girlfriend Goodger needs to "back off".
Her comments are reportedly connected to Goodger's new book Secrets of an Essex Girl, which contains references to their relationship.
A friend told Heat: "Michelle thinks Lauren should focus on her current relationship and not keep meddling with Mark. She's still going on about things that happened between them two years ago.
"Michelle and Mark are completely in love, and neither of them have ever been happier.
"It seems like Lauren's trying to drag them down with her claims that Mark was a bad boyfriend - and even a cheat, something Mark strenuously denies."
Lauren Goodger split from Mark Wright after an off-and-on-again relationship in 2011.
She recently spoke to Digital Spy about her new book and her relationship with Wright.
She said: "If I wasn't on it, he wouldn't be where he is now. The whole show was about our relationship - the dramas, the split-ups, the engagement. What would he have been filming? He wants to be the next James Bond. Could he be? No. Maybe an Essex one."
Michelle Keegan said back in January that she will not discuss her relationship with Wright.
