Topshop bosses were keen to impose strict regulations on customers, restricting them to four items each, none of which could be of the same size or colour as any of the others.
The regulations appear to have worked to some extent, although it has not stopped items being advertised. Over 3,500 listings were posted on eBay yesterday alone, but The Sun reports that the majority of these sold for less than the store price.
At the start of the week, some popular items were selling on the website for more than three times their retail price.
