Peter Andre checks out of hospital

Peter Andre has checked out of hospital after being treated for suspected viral meningitis.

The 34-year-old pop star was discharged from East Surrey hospital this morning. He underwent several tests during his stay including a brain scan.

Andre, who is married to glamour model Jordan, was admitted to hospital after falling ill at the couple's home in Ockley, Surrey on April 22.

He began to feel ill during a US promotional tour earlier this month and spent a week in bed upon his return.

His spokeswoman said: "Peter Andre has been discharged from East Surrey Hospital this morning. He now needs to be left alone with his family to recover."
