Doherty arrested for drug possession

Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.

The 28-year-old was arrested by police officers in High Street Kensington at the weekend. He has been remanded on bail until June.

Doherty has appeared in court in relation to a number of other drug offences in the past year. However, a judge recently said Doherty had been "more than co-operating" in his attempts to beat his addiction to heroin and other substances.
