'Ugly Betty' star insures smile for £5m

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is having her smile insured for £5 million.

The 23-year-old actress was approached by a toothpaste firm who wanted to take out the cover as part of a charity awareness event for Smiles for Success.

Smiles for Success assists women who cannot afford dental treatment while they apply for jobs for the first time.

"It's very flattering to have my smile insured for so much," Ferrera explained. "It's not something I ever imagined happening. I'll try my hardest to take care of it."
