Richards and Sambora split after a year

Denise Richards has split from Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora after a year together.
The couple apparently called it a day two months ago, but have deliberately kept the news from the media for fear of intrusion into their private lives.
Both have experienced showbiz divorces in the past, and were keen to avoid a repetition of the situation.
"They didn't want to make it public because they lived through public divorces and it was very painful," a source revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine.
