Bob Dylan has publicly praised Paul McCartney, despite widespread criticism of the singer's new material.
The former Beatle has come under fire for some of his recent solo songs, but Dylan insists that McCartney is the only one of the "fab four" that he is awestruck by. However, Dylan's admiration extends to the whole group, as he told Rolling Stone magazine.
"If George had had his own group and was writing his own songs back then, he'd have been probably just as big as anybody. They were fantastic singers. Lennon, to this day, it's hard to find a better singer than Lennon was, or than McCartney was and still is.
"I'm in awe of McCartney. He's about the only one that I am in awe of. He can do it all. And he's never let up... He's just so damn effortless."
