Davina McCall has said that she will never step into a casino again.

The presenter explained that although she does not have a gambling problem, she feels she has the type of personality where it could become an issue.

She told The Radio Times: "I have an addictive personality so it could prove dangerous.

"When we were on our honeymoon, Matthew [Robinson, husband] suggested a night in a casino. Now Matthew's the kind of guy that would get ten £5 chips, play ten games and then leave.

"I, on the other hand, insisted we put them all on red. It didn't take long for Matthew to realise he needed to get me out of there! So that is why I must never step in a casino again."

McCall's new gameshow Five Minutes to a Fortune starts tonight on Channel 4.

Based around a 15ft hourglass built inside the studio, the programme sees teams work together to complete five challenges in just five minutes to make sure that they win the cash and the money doesn't start to drain away.

"Five Minutes to a Fortune is one of those shows that has you clenching your buttocks from start to finish - I cannot wait to get started!" said McCall.

Five Minutes to a Fortune starts tonight at 5.10pm on Channel 4.
