Liza Minnelli denies arranging Lindsay Lohan intervention

By
Liza Minnelli has rubbished a tabloid report claiming that she was planning to stage an intervention for Lindsay Lohan.

A supposed insider was quoted in a Radar Online article as saying that Lohan's loved ones had reached out to Minnelli to help them confront her about her rumoured personal problems.

Minnelli famously spent time in the Betty Ford Clinic in the mid-'80s for substance abuse problems, after bowing out of the Broadway play The Rink.

A representative for the Arrested Development star has now clarified that Minnelli has no links to Lohan.

"[The tabloid reports are] not accurate," Minnelli's spokesperson told E! News.

Lohan is required to enter rehab for 90 days by May 2 as part of a plea agreement for allegedly lying to police officers about a 2012 reckless driving accusation.

It has been reported that Lohan will be entering Westhampton, New York's Seafield Centre, although that has not been confirmed by her lawyer Mark Heller.

The Liz & Dick actress opened up to David Letterman about her impending rehab stint on Tuesday (April 9) by saying that she considers the sentence a "blessing".
