Lohan, who was accompanied to the play by film producer Mohammed Al Turki, described the show as a "must see" on her Twitter page.

She then uploaded an image of herself, Al Turki and Baldwin, tweeting: "Great catching up with @ABFalecbaldwin."

Meanwhile, Baldwin suggested that he had also enjoyed the encounter as he replied: "So nice to see you, LL. It's been so long."

Orphans was mired in controversy before it opened when original star Shia LaBeouf sensationally quit after a rumoured disagreement with Baldwin.

He was replaced by Foster, but later got front row tickets for a preview performance with rumours claiming that he wanted to "unnerve" Baldwin.

LaBeouf has since addressed his problems with Baldwin publicly, suggesting that the pair "had tension as men".
