The 'Call My Name' singer turns 30 tomorrow (June 30) and has planned a full weekend of celebrations in California, The Mirror reports.
Cole and boyfriend Tre Holloway have planned the bash, which will be attended by the star's former bandmates and close friends Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.
A source said: "Cheryl's been through so much in the past few years, and she's actually really proud to reach the age of 30. She's not one of these girls to mope about her age, instead she sees it as a great chance to celebrate.
"So, along with Tre, she's been planning this party for ages. She wanted to treat those closest to her, that's why she's paying for their flights and five-star accommodation out there.
"Then she's got the whole weekend worked out - slap-up meals, cocktails, champagne, shots and lots of dancing. It's a chance for everyone to let their hair down and go a bit wild."
The former X Factor judge recently said that she is looking forward to reaching her 30s as she will be able to "relax".
She explained: "And you know what, I knew this was going to happen because I always used to look up to women in their 30s and think, 'This is when women are at their most beautiful, their most sexy, and their most confident.
"That's what I was aspiring to be and now I'm here too. I feel like, 'Cool, I can relax now'."
