Katie Price: Harvey will live with me forever because of disabilities

By
Katie Price has revealed that she wants disabled son Harvey to live with her forever, and has even built him a log cabin in their garden.

The model-turned-businesswoman told Reveal that 11-year-old Harvey, who is partially blind, autistic and has a "behavioural problem", will "always" be by her side as she worries "about [his] and other people's safety".

"If he had a job stacking shelves and someone wound him up, he would lash out and hit them," Price said during a speech at the Sunday Times Festival of Education.

"Harvey will always stay with me - I'll always have him at home. Mum says he's got to get away from me, but I just worry about him and other people's safety. I like to know where he is."

Price added that she has adapted to life with a disabled child, and actually found it more challenging bringing up Junior and Princess, her two children with ex-husband Peter Andre.

"I don't know what he's going to be like in a few years. I take each day as it comes," she said. "When he was born, we were told he wouldn't see, walk or talk, and now he does all of those things.

"He was my first child and he had so many problems, I didn't know any different. It was weird when I had Junior because he didn't have any problems."

Price attended the event in Berkshire last month with Harvey, whose father is ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, to talk about the importance of getting a good education for children with complex problems.

"I wasn't just going to put him in any school," she said. "I wanted him to be stimulated and get the right support."

Price is expecting her fourth child with third husband Kieran Hayler this summer.
