The thespian-turned-designer revealed she felt far from nervous, and was actually eager to get her pieces seen by the public.

"It's really exciting. It's a wonderful thing to work and I'm very inspired by my partner Jeanne Yang," she told E! Online. "She's a wonderful designer and we had a great presentation. It was actually very relaxed and we really enjoyed ourselves."

As well as putting her items on the catwalk, Holmes went to see the latest line by Michael Kors.

Holmes added that she believes Kors makes clothing that plenty of females can wear, no matter what their taste is or what they look like.

The fashion designer made her name as an actress

"I've always been a fan of Michael Kors," she continued. "I love his classic designs. It's so accessible to so many women - from his watches, to his bags, to his beautiful designs and I think he's just such a great American designer and I'm really happy to be here."

During Kors's event she sat in the front row next to actress Kate Mara, while the designer walked out on the stage at one point.

Afterwards he posted on Twitter that preparing for NYFW is similar to the lead-up to giving birth: "I think putting on a fashion show is sort of like having a baby.
You get to the point where you're like, 'Let's do this already!' – xxMK."
