Amy Winehouse father Mitch won't allow Hollywood biopic

By
Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has told Digital Spy that he would never allow Hollywood to make a biopic about his late daughter.

Speaking at the annual Amy Winehouse Foundation Ball at London's Dorchester Hotel last night (November 20), Mitch admitted to having difficulty finding the right tribute for the late singer, who died of alcohol poisoning in July 2011 aged 27.

"I don't really want to do a biopic, but there's a documentary film from the same people who did Senna coming out next year," he told us.

"A concert would be amazing, but it's actually getting it together with the [record label]. It sounds great in theory, but in practice it's not so easy. We are talking about it though."

Mitch also praised the "host of wonderful people", including celebrity guests like Barbara Windsor, Pixie Lott, Boy George and Mark Ronson, who showed their support at the ball.

"I'm emotional, but happy to be here and grateful for everyone who's come to support us," he said. "It's just wonderful. Amy should be here, but under the circumstances I'm happy."
