By
Sir Richard Branson has described Lady Gaga's upcoming space concert as "the most exciting thing" he's ever done.

Gaga confirmed late last year that she is to perform aboard one of Branson's Virgin Galactic spaceships in 2015 as part of an intergalactic music festival.

Asked by Digital Spy on the We Day red carpet at Wembley Arena this morning (March 7) if he is excited for the performance, Branson replied: "Of course. It's going to be the most exciting thing I've done in my life. I've got a feeling she'll find [an outfit] that's pretty good."

Branson is to be interviewed by his daughter Holly, co-chair of We Day UK, at today's special event, which aims to empower 12,000 student leaders to take action on local and global causes they care about.

"The thing I love about this event is that everybody had to get out and do a good deed [to be] rewarded by a wonderful day like today," he said. "I think it'll suck them into a lifetime of making a difference in the world... It's quite wonderful."

Prince Harry, Ellie Goulding, Jennifer Hudson and Dizzee Rascal are among the other speakers and performers at We Day.
