Bryan Singer seeks summary judgement in sex abuse lawsuit

By
Bryan Singer has filed a motion for a summary judgement in the sexual abuse lawsuit against him.

The X-Men: Days of Future Past director's legal team asked a court on May 29 to rule in his favour against Michael Egan, who is suing Singer over claims the filmmaker and three Hollywood executives abused him.

Singer also asked the court to award him all fees and costs that have been incurred since responding to the original filing. A hearing was set for August 4.

Egan originally accused Singer of sexual abuse in Hawaii in August and October 1999. However, in a sworn deposition in 2003 that was related to a different case, Egan allegedly said that he'd never been to Hawaii, or even outside of the United States. Singer's representation also claims to have proof that Singer was not in Hawaii at that time.

Singer previously filed a motion to dismiss the suit on May 21, which is still currently pending.
