Michael: 'Marijuana is my drug of choice'

George Michael has spoken candidly about his drug use, admitting that marijuana is his "drug of choice".

The Grammy award-winning pop star caused a furore last year when he smoked a joint on The South Bank Show, but he remained defiant about his use of the drug in an interview on Parkinson.

He said: "I'm not going to pretend that my drug of choice is not marijuana because it is. I think I also made the point that (marijuana) is a terrible drug at certain points in your life.

"When you're young and when you have things to achieve, you don't want something that chills you out like that. It's not that I'm sitting there advocating it for everyone."
