Williams gets prestigious award nomination

Robbie Williams has received a nomination for a prestigious music award for his single 'Rudebox'.

The track was a widespread critical failure, but has now been nominated for the International Hit of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards.

The accolades aim to recognise songwriting talent rather than performance.

'Rudebox' will be competing against Madonna's 'Sorry' and 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by the Scissor Sisters.

The Ivor Novello Award ceremony will be held at Grosvenor House in central London.
