Doherty video appears on the internet

A video of a young Pete Doherty queuing for the release of the Oasis album Be Here Now appears on the internet.

The video from 1997 shows Doherty being interviewed by MTV presenter Eddy Temple-Morris.

In it he describes his thoughts on Oasis by referring to an Italian philosopher.

The Babyshambles front man said: "Yeah, well, I subscribe to the Umberto Eco view that Noel is is a poet and Liam is a town crier."

He is then asked to describe Oasis in one word, and replies: "Trousers!"
