McCartney prosecutors drop charges

Sir Paul McCartney's prosecutors have dropped claims that he faked the results of a paternity test 20 years ago.
Bettina Krischbin claimed that she had been conceived during a tryst between her mother and McCartney during a Beatles concert in Hamburg's Starlight club.
However, a paternity test taken in 1983 revealed that he was not the father.
But Krishbin said that McCartney sent a double along to the test to ensure that they came back negative.
The charges have now been dropped. Michael Grunwald said: "The case falls outside the statute of limitations even if her claims are true. The investigation is closed."
